this is part of a piece ive been reading this morning
Few drivers appeared to have any idea how much fuel it took to run their car, with only 4% correctly estimating that the average car could drive 100-110 miles on £10 worth of fuel.
what a load off Bull sh*t
we have a pug 405 diesel estate now , and even that cant get close to 100-110 miles on a tenner...aint even 2 gallons now for £10...love to know what planet these [unpleasent fellows] think theyre on

So the Average car gets 61MPG and has a 37ltr fuel tank. What a fine example of accurate and reliable news reporting. I googled the headline and almost every News website and newspaper has run this story. Perhaps what we should be more ticked off about is the fact that they all ran the story with absolutely no regards to the truth. It says a lot about this countries Press and TV companies. As i have just pointed out in my complaint to the press association.

then again remember that most MP's dont remember what a fuel pump looks like - and have no idea what the real world is like.....£50 in my tank before xmas - over 50 litres - same £50 last week 37 litres so nearly 3 gallons down on 8 months ago , we have 2 cars - because we need 2 cars. im a community care nurse and hubby is carer for our autistic son and needs access to transport.
Bring back Saddam anyone?

This story was written by Brittania breakdown services and then dished out as a press release. Perhaps a rant to their press dept is on the cards as well.

id be alrite for 13 miles i rekon with the engine running the other 95 miles freewheeling down hill all the way
-
my car can do 200 miles on a fiver...
but it takes longer as the AA recovery truck isnt as fast as my car ;)
no chance a tenner will do 100-110 miles, unless its a hybrid letting the batteries do the legwork
-
jezza moment by a golf diesel rather than a hybrid soz couldnt find video clip
-
Perhaps that was the February issue of a mag when fule was 91p a litre!
-
