Title: speakers in roof lining
Post by: scatt on July 25, 2008, 14:56:25
After a trip to billing, Im in need of some advice. I noticed a lot of people have speakers mounted into there roof linings. this obviously makes for better sound quality as i dont have an ear on my knee! is there only one kind of speaker that will fit or can i buy any? (size, shape, etc) also do i need to reinforce the roof lining. i have a double cab so im looking to put a pair in the front and a pair in the rear.

i dont have a double cab so cant advise on strength of roof lining.

i will upload a picture of mine as soon as i can find one ( 10 mins )

any size is good i have two speakers in side of roof lining and two in the centre, the weakest part and have no sag which is related to them being there, it greatly improves sound quality although make sure you dont position them near your ears or you will end up deff, just get a stanly knife and cut a hole but be careful, very carful not to make the hole visibly too big or else it looks poo

hope i helped

cheers kieran

:? i cant seem to find my camera :?
ill do a mobile phone picture in the morning, you can run the wires up through those plastic bits next to the windows as theres plenty of space for lots of wires in there

cheers kieran
