When I was coming home on Thursday afternoon on the bike, I saw an Aston Martin parked up at a pub/restaurant next to the Marina
Not sure which one it was, as I was more concerned about the car by my right shoulder
This gave me an incredibly cunning idea :-k
Joanne & Amelia will be over at the 'Posh Porta-Cabin' this weekend with her parents.
This means that I'm left with the XKR
So........... I'm wondering about driving into Leeds on Saturday, & visting JCT 600, which is the 'local' Aston main-dealer (http://www.jct600.co.uk/dealer_home.php?dealer=66151) & profess an interest in a possible PX ;)
There's also the 'fast-Fiat' dealer next door*
I quite fancy trying a V8 Vantage (http://www.jct600.co.uk/detail?template=/jct600/hitlistdetail&vid=14167096&dealer=66151)
Plus there's JCT 600 Bentley (http://www.jct600.co.uk/dealer_home.php?dealer=15638) not too far away either.
Mmm?, a Continental GT anyone?
Should I do it?, it is very tempting
*I also wonder if there's any long-standing staff there, as my ex-boss (I left his employ 12years ago) had a DB7, Virage & a F355, all bought from JCT600.
Could I possibly 'name-drop', & get better treatment

the baby v8 for all its noise, is like the porsche boxster of the family
you are getting a cheaper version of the proper one but still driving the badge
personally i would opt for the DB9 or DBS :)
but if you are going to opt for a conti, get a phaeton, same thing! ;)

Call me a cheap-skate, but I prefer the V8's to the V12

True, but not the style (or aura of glamour - even though every f**tballers wife has one, & that's no recommendation)

Sorry this did not happen
I mentioned it to Joanne on Friday evening, after her return from Wales, and she said;
"You're not going without me!"

Trouble is the trade-in on an XKR, or for that matter my RR isn't enough to warrant them playing the test drive game - best way to manage one is to register on their site as interested - then there's no deception going on :)

I guess so Neil, it was just 'an idle thought'.
We might still go for a look round & see what gets said to us

Go for it...
