Hi Guys
I have been planning to change the filter and oil in my Autobox of my 2001 Disco 2. :D It all seems quite straight forward, until I read the following article.
http://www.difflock.com/servicing/ZF-auto-oilchange/ZFauto-oilchange.shtml
Here it says the disco 2 is sealed for life. I have noticed it does not have a dipstick for the gearbox. Does this mean the gearbox is sealed for life? I would value your greater knowledge.
Many thanks
Ed

Hi Ed,
I had my auto box serviced recently as it was beginning to show signs of slip. It can and apparently should be done and there is a service kit containing the relevant gaskets etc available. Also its apparently quite common for the pick up/valve block thingy to warp slightly and the retaining bolts should be torqued up when the service is done.
