i get a single click when i initially start to brake, had this on previous vehicles (disco & Rangie) over the years but thought it was about time i asked. Not sure if it is the pads moving?
-
Sounds like the pads just moving slightly, the rears can move to the point where the pads fall out..lol!! if it's just the once it shouldn;t be an issue, if you lose all your brakes, then i was wrong...LOL!! sorry....

Disco ron you are the fountain of all knowledge... Cheers

Get a similar thing on mine once in a while, on mine its the back bolt for the radius arm worked lose a bit. check to make sure there all tight. although its more of a clonk than a click
-
i get that on mine the only thing it can be is the pads moving but as said i,ve had suspension bolts come loose so that they make a clonk when you brake as well
-
Same on mine and I'm sure I feel it through the brake pedal also. With me head out of the window it sounds like OSF so i suspect a slightly sticky caliper or broken retaining spring etc. Doesn't seem to effect braking, just makes its noise. I'll investigate when I get some free time

I had a clonking noise when I first breaked as well. I found out in the mot today it was the nut on the lower shock absorber mount had come loose and being held on by 2 threads and so shock absorber wasnt working as it was just hanging about.
It doesnt clonk under breaking anymore. bonus  Only took since november to find out what it was!
