Title: extended bumpstop querry fitting

just fitted one of the front ones and its look unstable using the original bolts

do u need to use the metal backing plate off the original bumpstops with 4 bolts holding them on with 2 to the mounts also what length of bolts are required

I didn't use the old backplate when I fitted mine, All that hold mine on is one bolt each side... I did fit a nice big washer to stop the nut pulling through tho..

They have been on now for over a year and are still in place, the bump stops moves nicely when the axle comes in contact with them, So far so good  :)

Your first picture looks right, but considering the change in thickness then longer bolts will be required.

Some extended bumpstops have an inbuilt metal plate for bolting to the chassis, though the ones you have are just a single moulded lump of plastic.

 Mine came with metal sleeves which the bolts went through, stopped it being squisshed too much
