there real alright saw programme about that first company, but how can they develop an air car for sooo long? its quite a simple idea, more it just aint caught on really. but maybe they will for the right uses....

Like the Pertol head v air head comment!
I think its soemthing to do with col due to air pressure changes, also the energy required to fill it is very high so although its clean at the point of use, the overall energy footprint is high (like electric cars, displaced polution)
Still nice idea for city driving.

I have heard of this before, I would be interested to see how they ever expect to get through any Homologation (testing that vehicle is up Legally required standards) High pressure air would not be good in crash and would be supprised to see it accept anywhere in the world.
Not sure that it would be very green all you are doing is moving the place the green house gases are produced (energy at the power station not out the exhaust of the car) there are also the high loses to take into account at each stage (you need to compress the air to start of with)
