Just watching thsi now and its highlighting the stupidity of people following sat navs. I mean surely you can tell if your gonna drive into a bleeding river???

As I've said before, I think it would help if they put a less commanding voice on them. But it's still down to the idiots who listen to their sat nav rather than looking at the road in front of them and deciding whether it's suitable or not.
I'm obviously very odd as well. I set my MP3 player up before I drive off and then refuse to do anything more than maybe press the "skip track" button. I wouldn't even try to pick songs and drive at the same time.

Sat Nav is like any other tool. It works bestl if the user has a modicum of 'common sense'.
As stated many times, the unusual thing about 'common sense' is that it's not very common.

I think you should enquire the merits of sat nav with Turtle, if he's still a member.
Let's just say, he had the privilege of a grand tour of Edinburgh the last time he travelled up to me in Arbroath.
