Thought I'd have a little play around with the rear end of the 90, removed the corroding lamp guards and bought some LED bulbs from http://www.ultraleds.co.uk. I replaced both stop/tail and indicator with corresponding red and orange LED's (£4.99 a pair!). The pics below don't really do them justice, at night they are equally as bright as the original, if not better. All for less than £15! Only issue so far is that the indicators flash twice as fast, this may rectify once I've replaced the front and side bulbs with LED's too. Think I'll change the front side lights for some ultra bright white LED bulbs aswell. 50,000 hour life span, means I probably will never need to replace a bulb again! I'll replace the original fog/reverse with 4 of the round type as well in the near future.
More pics on my website http://www.90county.co.uk/mods.html

It will probably get worse when you change the others. You will have a bimetallic flasher unit which relies on the load of the filaments to regulate it's flash frequency.
You will either need to replace the flasher unit for an electronic one, or get a load resistor to get the speed back to normal. The people that sold you the LEDs should be able to supply these.

Thanks Tim, just checked their website and they do sell a resistor kit, will order one up.
