Title: disgrunteled clubber
Post by: landkeeper on August 06, 2008, 09:36:34: Ok guys what would you do in this situation .i spotted something land rover related from a guy here in the classifieds, we had a chat and agreed a price for said items , he said it would cost 30 quid to post as it was breakable and would need to travel with a courier service I agreed .now i live in ireland at the moment but the parcel was to go to my home place in cheshire .
now there were problems both sides after this 1st with the payment getting lost , but I resent it, seller got it and posted the parcel on the 4th of july ,but the package got posted to the wrong address !!!!!!! :oops:! I was told it would be reposted on the 25th of july , it still hadnâ€™t arrived on the 2nd of august so I rang the seller again to be told it had been posted the previous Thursday ie the 31st july :huh: ! annoying , as my parents had spent a week making sure there was somebody there to sign for a parcel if it arrived , and then to my further annoyance when it arrived on the 5th it is postmarked the 2nd :shock: and only travelled with royal mail and cost Â£11 and some pence to send :shocked: now i don't mind paying a fair price for anything but i object to this treatment especially as to my mind the seller has pocketed 19 quid for very little an old cardboard box and some shredded paper and a trip to the post office , not how i would do things [-X

Following that I'd have then PM'd the Admins to find out how they could help.

Well i havn't mentioned anybodys name or identity or even what the item was so identity is safe athe moment however i have all the pms to him from start to finish so we'll see
i pm the other party yesterday am but have no reply as of yet i'll wait and see for now what his reply is
i will add for the record if the stuff had come when and as agreed with a couriour then fine but iv'e been lied to and ripped off
maybe i'm wrong but i expect to be treated how i treat people :oops:

Even though Ived been reasonable and offered an alternative

Small claims court only costs Â£35!!!

Post by: muddyjames on August 13, 2008, 18:56:43: I sold some items last year to a mc member that had quiet a few postings and they said they wanted them relatively urgently and as I was going on holiday I posted them before getting payment as I thought MC'ers and land owners were all nice. Lesson learnt. Never got the cheque.

I am affriad it happens and lesson needs to be learnt and just dont deal with the person again.

Luckily it was'nt for a lot but thats not the point, I'll help anyone out but it dents your faith when someone takes the mick does'nt it.

'i spent 2 weeks in hospital having my pancreas removed. i have just had my house reposesed. my wife has left me. is that good enough ? send me your adress and ill send you your money back. is this good enough ?
