well my epson c62 has died by the look of it it keeps telling me i need to seek out the authorised service centre, i cant believe its worth bothering to get it repaired  so what would be a good replacement, dont print alot but do print some photos, mainly we print out text when swmbo is doing her uni projects
any suggestions will be investigated :D

stay with epson but tbh printers are dead cheap these days, have a look in places like staples but i would first go and see how much replacement cartridges are if the quality is similar across different brands

I"ve just bought a HP Photosmart C4180 all in one and I am well impressed with it. Only paid £35 for it, brand new off Ebay but you can get them for £50 at Argos.

i got a new lexmark printer/copier and scanner all in one for £25 from tescos

Epson CX3650 - all in one, cheap inks and very good quality - even in photo mode, plus turns into a stand alone copier without the pc
-
Personally I would stay with Epson, and with regards to inks, I always look for printers with individual colour tanks now too.

Cheapest Printer..................... I use the one at work, its free!!

Now thats just plain cheating!!!!!!!!
Nice one though.....

Sometimes printers are disposable, you pay more for the ink refills than you do for the printer :?

Yeah, I was finding that a while ago.
Settled with my Epson RX425, get the inks from eBay now though, quite cheap.
I NEVE£R go for compatible cartridges though, always go for the originals.
I find they not only last longer, but I find the compatibles block up the heads on the printers.....
