Evening all......
I know I have a habit of killing posts, but Im looking for some advice..... My disco used to have v8i in it and now has a 200tdi retro-fitted.... Having a closer look tonight they have fitted a 300tdi airbox and run the pipe work back to front and put the filter in back to front with much squeezing..... They have also cut a hole in the air box...... Anyone anythoughts on what airbox to fit or would it be easier to reroute the pipe work... Ive included some pics of the mess that they have made........There will also be a safari snorkle to fit as well..... Oh and if anyone here has an ARB winch bumper fitted to there D1 is there any chance you could take some pics of it and send them to me [-o<......
A big thanks in advance....
Kirsty

i would suggets getting a 200Tdi cylindrical one, then the safari snorkel will fit perfect to it, i may have one in the garage, will have a look tomorow

Ditto, the 300 series airboxs change hands for daft money, I'm still after one myself. The elements are cheaper for the flat panel type but if you buy a K&N they are about the same price.
I can't figure out from the picture quite what's going on but they have made a pig's ear havn't they. Looks like the original V8 airbox has been butchered, the 300TDi turbo is the other way up so the same airbox suits both V8 and TDi.

Its about the only pigs ear of the whole vehicle, everything else Ive found has been a good job. They have hashed the box to fit the pipe work, if they had nipped down to the local agri dealer adn got some flexi pipe to fit. Oh and Kirsty has found a damp drivers footwell, anythoughts?

Dampfootwell :-k
Windscreen, top or bottom
Footwell itself
door rubber
on a RRC the hinge boxs rot out, is there something similar on the Disco?

i know minges a little different but im using a defender 300 air bin, it was £60 brand new and is much easer to tuck away than a disco 300 air bin. its also got 3" bore hoses you you may get a little extra power too.
