Disco ron, was it easy to fit, did you actually notice a difference, i assume it sits fully in front of exisitng radiator.

I bought one htat had been made for a Disco and it wouldn't fit the RRC, I had to have it modyfied which took ages.

Did I notice a difference, not really but then I hadn't tweaked the pump (it had already been done) so I was more interested in making less smoke.

Allisprt fitted mine for me, and did the magic on the pump at the same time.... didn't notice the difference immediately, but after driving it for about 50 miles it twigged that it was different..... MUCH more torque, and loads better acceleration...... i've since de-catted it, and done away with the centre silencer, so i'm hoping it'll be even better now......

As above does any one know the O/D of the intercooler pipes

Intercooler pipes in my 1994 300tdi are 60-61.5mm O/D at vairious places along their length and no closer than 50mm to their joints to the intercooler/inlet manifold. These are 14 year old hoses which are a little blown but not bulging too badly. Wall section appears to be about 4-5mm. As close as I can get without removing the hose, the intercooler outlet and inlet manifold/plenum inlet measure 53mm O/D.

That said, I think 60mm silicone hoses should do just fine. Might be a tight fit if they have 5mm walls but a bit of fairy and they'll go :)
