Doesn't look like they're used much, does it?
My brother's in the BMW performance trade and took an order late 90s some time from a Middle Eastern client for a pair of BMW M5s fitted with McLaren F1 engines (which were based on a BMW V12). It was looking like a juicy order but unfortunately McLaren wouldn't allow the engines to be fitted to anything other than their own cars.

the client could prob afford to buy the f1's then remove the engines
mclaren missed an opportunity there, can u imagine a beemer with an f1 engine in it
sod the m5!

Yes, he's got (or had?) motors like the Bentley 4x4 Shooting Brakes, with Range Rover transmissions married up to the Bentley 6.75 V8
Plus the Ferrari 456 estates, etc..

Hmm from memory the chassis was a P38a (whatever it says) they were made by a company called RDS Automotive in Southam (went out of bussiness in 2005) I was working there when the started the project each vehicle cost about £1,000,000 at least 1 was lost in a fire after I left but hte Sultan still payed for it, never actually seen the end product not sure I like it either.
