as said failed mot on reg plate light and a pitman arm was told you can gat a kit to repair so have ordered one
but im not sure what it is looked in the haynes no mentoin it to do with steering is it that thing that sticks ouy from
steering box and is it better to replace or repair :-k

Do you mean the drop arm that attaches to the steering arm?
If so, replace the whole drop arm! There is kits to rebuild but they are a complete (I'll delete my own expletive here!!) to do. IMHO it is much easier and safer to replace the whole arm. They're not expensive and a simple unbolt job apart from the problems separating them from the steering box! There you will need a ball joint separater and be prepared to put BIG tension on until it goes[size=25] BANG[/size]

thats the bit the drop arm i was havin a thick moment if you got one going spare if you pm me an address diggerdog i could pick up tomorrow evening as im down south all day thanks

If you can get the thing of then it is easier, but I rebuild tem with no real hassle, I have done a few now though ;)
