As it say's on the tin :)
If you've got an aftermarket/non-original one, I'd love to see what you've got and hear where you got it from, please :D
I'm in the market for a new one after the weekend (see German Event, in the Events bit ;) ) At the moment I'm considering the Devon 4x4 one, here:

I've got the Devon 4x4 one and am very happy with it. My only gripe is that the ends do flex if you hit them hard enough, and that usualy means you lose the piece of trim at the bottom of the rear quarters. Other than that it provides better angles than others available.
I have also had a Discoparts one. It was more substantial that the D44 one but did dig in on tight departures. The other problem is that I think Discoparts are no longer trading, so you won't get one anyway :(
-
Thanks for the reply :D
There doesn't seem too much choice out there for D2's :(
I like the D4x4 one, so think I will go for that, unless anyone else has other suggestions :D

discoparts website is still up and running...
-
Found it, thanks :) http://www.discoparts.com/asp/d-no.asp?ProductID=57&Process=1&CatID=4&SubCatID=30 (http://www.discoparts.com/asp/d-no.asp?ProductID=57&Process=1&CatID=4&SubCatID=30)
Not sure how "current" it all is as the Homepage says "WE are Going To Billing 2007"
I still think I like the look of the D4x4 one, but the Discoparts one does use the standard lights as opposed to NAS style (could be more ££ to replace :-k )
-
i noticed it was a bit out of date.. 8-[
must try and get in touch with them.
I am having the same trouble as you. I want to replace the rear bumper on my disco 1 but having trouble finding something a bit different or that i really like..

Absolutely mate, but I think there are a lot more products about for Disco 1's, I used to have a 300Tdi and things were MUCH easier :)
I'm also trying to find a set of tree/rock sliders for my D2, now that IS hard :(
-
Not wishing to Diss Discoparts , but I have Their rock slidders and rear bumper on my D2 and Im not impressed with either... :(
-
whats up with them...???
-
Golddigga 4x4 do good rear bumpers for disco 1's, maybe they do D2's? £££ though...
-
whats up with them...???
Both flex terribly , the rear bumper is permanently twisted , and I'm forever bending down the sliders as they bend and foul the door...

Blimey Jas, what you been doing with them? I understand that all rear bumpers will flex somewhat (the D44 one is worse in that respect than the Discoparts one IMHO), given how they're attached, but I've always found my Discoparts sliders really solid. Maybe you drilled the holes out too much when you fitted them ;)

just had a look at their site. Front ones look real nice. Couldn't see a rear but have mailed them for info, so will see what i get back.

Simon, I have removed, refitted several times , my sliders but they still bend , they are just poor ...I never did like the idea of bolting over the sill but they were the only ones available at the time , the best R/S bolt to the out riggers , The disoparts stuff is nt as expensive as some , so I guess you get what you pay for .....

May been brain farting, but I can't find the website, I've tried searching for "goldiga, golddigger etc etc" but no joy
Does anyone have the correct URL for them [-o<
Thanks in advance :D

Gotcha!
I've just come off the phone with Devon 4x4 anyway  (Just the postage to sort  )
Almost came away with a Southdown Tank Guard too, but I think the wife would have battered me

All sorted :D
A mate is picking it up from the UK, so that saves me nearly £100 in postage

You can put that saving to the front D44 bumper that is going in the For Sale section ;)
-
Got an ARB winch bumper on the front already
