Title: Door locks and rear windows on 300TDI not working
Post by: vicskyline on September 09, 2008, 14:44:32
hi, i am after a bit of advice if anyone can help me, i currently own a 300tdi land rover discovery xs, and i am looking to sell it,
the only thing is i need to fix thease little niggly problems i have with the car before i sell her, (as she is mint i dont want to de-value it to much )
1- the rear windows arent working they did work when they felt like it, but now thay are not working at all.
i have had the door cards of and played with all the connections on the switches but cant see any loose wires,im sure it has to be a dodgy connection, i have heard its quite common, also
2- one of the rear door locks is not working at all on central locking,
if any one has any advice or they had thease problems i would be very gratefull for any help.
many thanks

victoria

Central locking could just be the solenoid needs replacing....

...however in both cases I would check with a multimeter that you have power to the central locking solenoid and to the window motors when you operate them...if could be borken wires in the loom that runs back thru the door pillar.

rear window fault is fixed as above. Mine did exactly the same and it's a really easy fix. Takes about 15 mins to do.
