Title: rear windows
Post by: muddyjames on September 14, 2008, 20:23:46
I had a thought today. Oh dear!

Would the rear windows in a 3 door (the ones that pop out one end about 1 inch) fit the windows in a 5 door? It would make life alot easier when leaving the dog or travelling so she could get fresh air.

It used to be possible to get grilles that were held in the top of the windowframe by the window - Mitsubishi rally cars ran with them in the rear windows at one point. Not sure if anyone makes one for a Disco but the back door windows are pretty much square, so it should be easy to make some.

I have one of those I bought at a show a few years back. I was thining about the rear windows opening as then there is less noise and also I cant push the wrong button and open the rear window and the grill fall out on the motorway!

Is there anyway to adapt the rear windows to hinge open?
