Hi guys i'm new to this site, and to 4x4's so i'd like some help if possible?
I have just bought an sj413 which has a webber carb fitted. when i take it offroad it's fine until i try and climb a steep hill then it starts to cut out, and i need to dip the clutch and rev the tits off it to stop it cutting out. i've been told that its because it's a webber??? any 1 have any idea?
All so the suspension is very bouncy, especialy off road. it has a spoa conversion, could this be the cause of the bouncing. some times i can't get traction cause the bouncing is so bad.
And finally, on my log book it says sj413 jsb what idoes the jsb stand for?
Sorry for such a long winded first post guys and thanks in advance for your help. Dan

Well I can help you with one of your questions,
It is down the the weber carb why it is cutting out on steep inclines there is a fix for it but most people tend to put a SU carb on instead as these can run pretty much at any angle.
here is a like if you want to try and solve the problem.

or you can put it on back to front according to this.

I think most SJ are bouncy as they are leaf sprung you can check your shocks are in decent shape not to loose.
Oh yeah and welcome to Mud Club.
