I wired my rear door subwoofers up to an aftermarket stereo in my late 95 Disco ES
Got one of these plugs of E Bay (£16) to make the rear subs work!

Which was wrong
Its this plug with just 1 red & 1 black wire coming out of it.

I had to remove the plug from the e bay lead and connect the wires to the plug on the cars loom also connect the RCA plug to one of the stereo preouts.

Did you have to connect up the blue amp power lead ?
My Sony XPLOD has a separate power amp lead which i havn't connected yet and I didn't seem to get any output when I tried my red/black wires connected to my pre-amp out socket.
Iain.

Didn't need to, its all in the iso plug in the vehicle loom.
-
Ah - the Xplod doesn't have an ISO connector ... :?
I guess I'll have to pull the bl@@dy think out again...

I thought all aftermarket unit's had ISO as industry standard, my spare Sony has a lead that goes from the unit to ISO which came with it from new?
