hi guys just trying to fined out if there is any way to find out if cv joint is 10 or 24 spline with out stripping it out first . the landy is a 1987/88 110 . thanx
-
I would expect a 10 spline axle based on my 1988 90 being that. But I might be wrong!
However, if it's CV joints you are talking about, they are either 23 or 32 spline. 1986 onwards appears to be 32 spline.

they should be AEU2522's....thats the actual part no aswel
all early 90s and 110 had them fitted
there 10 spline at the diff end of the shaft, then at the cv end of the shaft there 23 spline, then at the drive flange the cv spline is 24 spline
so in effect its a 23/24 spline cv joint
thats all depending if its the factory axle
get a piccy up of the frive flange, will be able to tell you straight away what cv joint it is dude

cheers Dan just checked the drive flange and its got 24 so i will go with your knowledge  will order one now. guess what I'm doing weekend . did take piccy but comps playing up so couldent put it up. cheers jo.

Where does the 32 spline version fit into the equation? Paddocks list them from 1986 onwards. Or doesn't that apply accross all 90/110's?

32 spline are for 24 spline diffs and are the same as fitted to discoverys ect

Is that effectively the 300 TDi axle then? implies that Defender and Disco had the same axle.
