Just purchased a set of HD Steering Rods from Paddock Spares for a Series Landrover. When i tried to fit them i found that the front Rod was resting against the passenger side leaf spring. Is there any way i can do anything to prevent this from happening thanks

That's interesting. Are they the Britpart ones? I was looking at getting a pair myself. Is your suspension standard or modified?
-
They are britparts and no my suspension is standard. Its really beginning to bug me as i cant figure out what to do
-
Maybe phone Britpart up. I can't see how they'd make something that obviously didn't fit. :?

Don't underestimate what rubbish Britpart can supply. [-X
Spot the Britpart spring and OEM spring below, both are Heavy Duty units:

Hi Nev!!
Probably a stupic comment  But have you definately got them the right way round??
get some pics mate!

Why not fit a steering guard stops other things from getting mangled too, plus with the leafsprings it creates a giant slider
-
Thanks for all your comments. I have decided for the moment to go for a steering guard and i will try to figure out the steering rods later. :D
-
i'm guessing you fitted new ball joints at the same time?
i reckon these could be too small and so arent giving enough clearance
i hope thats not the case, i've just bought new steering rods and balljoints from paddocks too!

The problem i can see with them is that the new bars are at least an inch thicker than the standard bars therefore they are rubbing against the spring and yes i had new track rod ends on them aswell.
