Title: defender making scraping noises on right lock
Post by: flash42 on October 05, 2008, 19:17:27
lately my defender 90 has been making strange scraping noises when ever i go on half to full right lock.
there appears to be a small amount of scraping on the inside of the front left alloy, but i cant see what could cause this.
does anyone have any ideas?

First thing to check is that it's not the flexable or solid brake pipes. If they get worn through.... Best left unsaid! Get someone to turn the steering while you have a look. Look out for any rubbing elsewhere ie disc backing plate. Anything been changed recently in that area?
