Well bought this the other day for a very good price and it has the following fitted.
Front and rear home made heavy duty bumpers
steering guard
qt diff guards
full stainless steel exhaust
custom snorkel
split charge battery system
relocated steering damper
full breather kit
deep dish alloys with insa sahara tyres 235/85/16
3" lift with brit part springs and procomp (might have to change that)
tree/rock sliders
Looking forward to carrying n the mods and tricks.

well Paul i am not as bad as mudrat :lol: :lol: :lol: and i am afraid this one is a cheap and cheerful keeper as it wont be worth selling her on ;) and i have gone back to me roots ;)

How do you find the manual box?
I'll be putting up a post soon on how to swap to an auto because I don't like mine, apart from 1st gear of the lights.........its sounds nice!

I must admit with the auto I use the seni auto part 123 have to be careful as have smoked the tyers once bye mistake didnt relise how quick these old ladies can be :D :D :D :D :D

How did you re locate the steering damper ? is there a kit ?

Mine feels quite quick at times, off the lights it suprises a few people! :twisted:

I did mine by fitting the knuckle from a Defender and drilling the steeing damper for the chassis end.
If you use a RRC steering damper you have to get it positioned just right, the front drag link moves further than the rear track rod. In theory that should make the damper more effective but I find it allows the driver's wheel to flutter on RH turns.

It looks like a very nice Rangey...... boys and toys! how much did you pay for it? you said the bummpers were home made? they look quite nice. I'm after a front and rear bummper, good and solid, to protect the front and mainly rear end while still looking original.... don't surpose the guy you got it off knows if you can get these bummpers again...... or are you thinking of geting rid of them :thumbup:

I paid £1k for the rangie as it looks now and the bumpers were made by the previous owner ;) but i defo wont be getting rid of them :lol: :lol:
