i keep beaking my number plates on the front bumper so i wanted to put a stick on number plate on but ive been told there illegal so i would just like to know what you guys have done with yours
cheers

I kept breaking mine too....
Stick on ones were made illegal a while back.
Ive covered the back from top to bottom in no more nails, and stuck it to the front bumper.
its not moved since :)
Because it cant flex, it cant snap.

There's a small recess in the front panel between grill and bumper. Some MOTer's will fail it some won't. I move mine back to the bumper for MOT ;)

my m8s disco went through the mot with a stick on plate

Are stick-on number plates legal?
No, number plates must meet the British Standard requirements and we are not aware of any self-adhesive number plates that are able to meet these requirements.

That's what I do with my wheel arches, because they are not plastic and have been panel beaten out if I bend them all I need to do is get the pliers out and bend it back :D I have seen a few people with the number plate on the passanger side vent flap it's out of the way from breaking then as well, Ben

I have a stick on plate on the vent. Passed 4 MOTs like it. All the charectors are of the correct font/size/spacing so it dosnt draw attention.

Ive zip tyed mine to the front of the winch bumper.I just get out and take it off when i off road.

i have a stick on one on my vent behind my cage, passed last m.o.t like it and no one flagged it even though you cant read it properly even when the vent is shut.

As suggested before, the problem is when the plastic plate flexes. Usually when hitting water too hard! The water pushes up behind the plate, breaking it. So the answer is either, stop hitting water too hard :P move the plate to where the water doesn't hit it or make the plate more rigid. More bolts across the plate is one answer, glueing it on as suggested above, or make a little metal frame to stiffen the edges of the plate.

Drill a hole in each corner and attach it to the grill using zip ties.
Workes for me and havnt broken one since, even if you now cant read the numberplate behiend my new a bar
