Title: Shock query
Post by: Hightower on October 15, 2008, 20:28:51
Sorry, but it's me again.

Now I have decided on parabolics and standard shackles, which bloomin' shocks do I go for?  There's STD, H/D and Pro Comp Extra Long  :?

I'm presuming that with the parabolics I'd need the extra long ones, but can somebody please confirm?

Thanks for your patience.

i used standard shocks with the paddocks parabolics at first, they were ok for about 10 minutes then over heated and stopped doing anything

i went for procomp es3000s, much better damping, much crisper handling, with longer travel too

Been running standard shocks with British Springs paras for a couple of years now, on road everyday and some fairly rough and rocky green lanes, never had a problem.

if u search for pro-comps url find lots of previous threads on this, especially the key to understanding pro-comp numbers which show the extension they have, thats what u go by really, i run es3000s no problems with them.

Cheers chaps.

Looks like it's the Pro Comp ES3000's from Paddocks for me then.

Best find my cheque book and dust it off a bit for this order . . . . .

I had Pro Comps on my S3 for years, abused them something horrible, and they were great!
