hi got my splats but what is the best way to peel the back off as when i try the letters stay on the bacing

Obviously you made sure the suface was clean and dry??
Rub the sticker down with your knuckle or thumb, then peel the backing off slowly, but instead of pulling it away from the panel, pull it flat to the panel...hard to explain without pictures, but make the backing do a 180 deg turn, instead of just a 90 deg turn.

May be some help?

Not much else to say - just make sure the area is clean (sponge and soapy water, then rinse and allow to dry) and make sure you get all the air bubbles out.
The fun comes when you fit a big vinyl like my Camel Trophy stickers - ended up using soapy water to avoid bubbles, and a steel rule to make sure they were the same distance along the doors on both sides!

if you get the temp right, a little bit of warmth makes the application of vinyl stickers a lot easier in my experience. Explaining to SWMBO why her hair dryer is broken, that's the tricky bit.

Peel the backing off slowly and pull it back on itself that way if any letters come away and you can push them back down and peel the backing off more carefully! Not easy at first but once you have the knack it does work.
The front piece is less adhesive than the backing, it's only there to hold the sticker in place while you position it.

Leave the backing on for a little while as the glue"develops" the longer it's in contact with the surface. Also they don't stick as well to polished paintwork.
