can i run this s111 on unleaded when i get it put back on the road

I run my series 3 on unleaded fine, your meant to alter the timing to 3 degrees BTDC i think
but i have heard differing opinions on this
the other option is to just stick some lead in the tank

You can buy stuff that you add to the petrol (all tho i forget what it's called) i used to run my S2 on it, and it never missed a beat.

Just been into the work shop to see if i had any left over that i could send you, but ive only got a dribble in a bottle and it aint worth posting.
Any way, it's called Castrol Valvmaster.
It protects the valves and valve seats.
Cheers
Brend.

Forgot to say, it comes in 250Ml bottles, and that will treat 250 Ltr's of petrol.

You can run it on straight unleaded. If it hasn't been converted to run on unleaded the valve seat recession will begin taking place eventually (may be thousands of miles), eventually rendering a loss of cylinder compression because the exhaust valve will not be able to close the gap even after taking up the tolerances in tappet settings. If it has been fitted with hardened valve seats then it should be fine with unleaded.

Valve seat recession on unleaded is accelerated by high revs and high exhaust temperature over a long period of time.....like on a motorway. So it will depend to a degree on usage.
