If i was looking for parts and stated an L reg then the supplier asked me if it was a Disco 1 or 2? then I would walk away!! and get them elsewhere.

The only question should have been 'Is it a 200 or 300?'

Anything else  .........   RUN!

Prehaps that was what was meant.

A normal motor factor should be able to source parts on registration alone.

An LR parts place will need the VIN or part of it.
