Are there any drivers out there who can tell me the correct price of diesel in France, the AA website says 1.44 euro which converts into £1.14 ish. Is this right??
For some reason I thought it was a little bit cheaper over there!!!

The price at Auchan in Calais was 1.119 euro this week

That sounds a bit more realistic!!!
We are just trying to work out whether to arrive in France with a full tank or an empty tank!!!

It's odd isn't it but the countries who paid the least duty on DERV, like the US and France/Spain are the ones hardest hit by the latest price rises, I'm told it's almost doubled in places in the USA, something like $3 or more a gallon (US gallon is less than 4 litres too).
I'm not saying it's right that we pay more duty, more that we really havn't noticed the true rise in price of fuels ex-works

If you can read French then this may be useful
http://www.prix-carburants.gouv.fr/index.php
It has all the prices for various regions of France.
You may even be able to use babelfish, but i have not tried that myself!
Hope this helps
