Post by: vitara guy on November 15, 2008, 16:48:30
Guys iv managed to sort a few mods on my new disco.
Mods include 2" spring lift 3" shock drop brackets on the rear with dislocation cones , +2" pro comp front shocks, removed anti roll bars to aid articulation, cobra cb fitted, scorpion racing winch bumper with 8500lb winch steering guard also fitted still sitting on small rubber at the mo , grizzly claw 236/70/16s on steel defender rims.
Snorkel next dont think i can afford safari money as id need the abs type snorkel , southdown maybe? what snorks you guys using?.

Crikey - someone's been a busy bunny...lol

Looks good mate. How do you find the 8500lb winch? I was thinking of one for mine but wondered if it was a little under powered for a Disco?

As for snorkels I've got a Safari one on my Disco. It's a very well built piece of kit, bloody solid and fairly straight forward to fit.

Mark.

The Safari ones are worth the money - I have one, it's very well engineered and solidly made with excellent instructions.

I have had people tell me that it will be smashed or torn off by trees, rocks, etc. Since then I have driven through all manner of stuff, from scratchy lanes to getting in amongst trees on private sites. Based on this, I think the only way it would get damaged is if you actually drove into a tree/rock/whatever, which I am not in the habit of doing!
