A bit of a random topic.
I'm driving to Czech this Christmas, and are thinking it may be wise to invest in winter tyres for the Zafira, its tends to snow a fair bit and is bloody cold plus it is a long drive.
Now in kwikfit I got "What... winter what?"
So where is a good place on line to get a set of 195/65/15 winter tyres....

Evening Patrick,
I use these for the tyres on the Freelander, for the size you state here is a list there is a mention on some of the tyre patterns for ice touring. winter and snowtrac.

Catch up with you soon mate :D
Cheers

Just a thought, better make sure you winterise the motor for low temps, especially anti freeze, more than likely its not beefed up enough for the sub zeroes you get over there
Thought about taking a set of chains as well

Cheers Keith... I will do some digging.
I will be taking the car to the garage to have the anti freeze topped up. I don't like snow chains but will borrow my inlaws if needed.

You may have better results if you ask for mud/snow tyres ;)

Just a thought work out the difference in extre cost for fuel for your 4x4 vs cost of set of tyres?
-
vredestein do a dedicated set of snow/ ice tyres. not sure about sizes or availability though but well worth checking out.

im glad you asked this patrick... were off to austria in the passat at christmas, and after a set too!
Rob - greets from petersfield!!

How about planning in a stop en route to get some at "Das Kwikken Fitten" or something, possibly cheaper as there is more demand?
Although youd need to bring your others home so space could be a problem.

Dad always had a set of vreidestein snow tyres when we were kids and had proper winters. They were a good tyre as I recall
