Title: Changing engine

ive brought another 200tdi disco purely for the engine as mine seems to be knacked.

the new disco ive brought is an auto and mine is a manual. can the engines be swapped.

i no the flywheel housin might need to be change and the clutch.

i was just wonderin if it would work?

Hi yes the engine can be used with no problems, remove to flex plate from the auto engine, fit the flywheel as normal, you will have to fit a crank pilot bearing in the end of the crank, as the auto engine will not have one, also remove the kick down lingake from the injection pump, job done,

Or go the whole hog and drop the lot in, engine & box, you have any bits you may need for the conversion, and have an idle life :)
