Title: spacers
Post by: lambert on November 24, 2008, 05:28:36
have interference on back wheels so get some spacers all good. however centre bore on spacers is too big for wheels to fit over, so do i mod the wheels to the sacers, the sacers to the wheels both needing a lathe i dont have or do i just remove the whole center ring with my grinder to give a fully flat face without any centering but for the studs?

modify spacer. The wheels will then still fit if you change your mind.
Plus the chuck needed to hold a wheel narrows down your options  ;)
Would not reccomend grinder as then all weight will be on the studs, the centre takes most of the weight.

had another look at the spacer and the axle and again the spacer is over size so all the load is on the studs anyway so i think i'll grind and be carfull.
