Post by: kevan1 on November 27, 2008, 14:26:39
Hi i have a suzuki jimny special its six years old and done 47000 miles , i drove down the road and the orange warning light come on.  I have checked everything and cant seem to find the problem and even driving the car there seems to be nothing wrong. does anyone know what this is or is there any common fault.

is this the crank angle sensor ? It doesn't cut out it drives normally . will removing the battery clear the ecu? I think that it had a small fault and the error is still in the ecu's memory. is this possible?

usually the fault will stay in the memory until its read then cleared , you might have to get it read at a garage

The orange oil warning light recently came on in mt 1985 mini 1000. I changed the oil switch it now works as it should. Could it be something simular and as simple?
