right think its my coil thats packed up on my landy, its a 3.5v8 has power going in but nothing going out.
have spoken to a few specialists and they all say they dont have a clue what its off..
either im not explaining it right or its a strange coil (im hoping im just stupid) :dance:
here's a pic hopefully its a very simple request and someone will point me in the right direction as im stuck without it..

never seen a coil like that on a landy b4 that looks like the coil on my moterbike :P if u after a coil just go into ya local car parts place an get one for around a tenner

Isn't that one of those dry coil packs? Never seen one on a Land Rover though.
Looks like a ballast resistor on top, so I'm assuming you are still running contact breakers in the dizzy? If so, the standard Lucas coil is DLB102.
If you have the electronic ignition dizzy, I don't think you should be running a resistor since the module needs 12v. In this case, you should chuck the coil and resistor and fit a Lucas DLB198 with a full 12v feed (no resisitor).

I have heard of people using jet ski coils as they are good/better in the wet stuff??????????????

nothing to do with landrovers i know,but that is similar to the coils on motor bikes,and jet ski's,like the other chap says,they are dry,so they can get wet,and can take more heat than a normal coil,i have seen these on 2litre ford pinto,4 single coils and four motorbike carbs,180 bhp,but they dont last :)
