Hello, Since I could not convince you lot to part with JUST £1500 for my Immaculate 1998 Discovery ( low miles ) I Have started using it and i am getting 20MPG round town and driving in Style !! Lovin it !! Loz
-
Glad you are enjoying it. I get 20 mpg from my V8 Disco too, but I also get half price motoring because it is LPG
-
How, mine does 12
but I suspect it's a tad faster
-
since ive owned mine its done about 150 MPG :D
( okay its on a trailer and we had to put a gallon in to try and get it started but no luck
-
my 300tdi does 23mpg.
-
if I get 12 mpg on lpg and 15 on petrol (well used to but only lpg now removed petrol tank) I think Im doing well 3.9 efi rrc
-
I get about 15mpg with a 3.5 v8 efi but i do give if death. :D
-
My old RRC 3.9 had a hole in the exhaust, wasn't serviced for about 5 years and did about 9-10 mpg on my trafficky commute to work!
But as it used to run on fuel from off fleeted hire cars it never cost me a penny!
-
it's the best I can get out of mine even doing 60mph on a long motorway journey. It is an auto though. I know manuals do 33mpg ish.

Yep, about 30mpg. Might want to check your tyre pressures - I know you can lose two or three mpg if they're a bit low.

36psi mate. Slightly over coz all of them have slow punctures and I get bored pumping them up all the time. I'm saving up to have the tyres put on alloy rims instead of steel ones that just let air out big time. Grrr.
-
Can't be that then - I reset mine today to the official ones in the manual, all were a tad low as I haven't checked them for some time.
-
I think mine is just down to the fact it is an auto. I dont think the rocksliders would reduce the mpg by 10 as I'm not a big chap and I cant imagine th weight of a big chap or me and 2 rock sliders would reduce the mpg down by that much!
-
I no mines down to lead foot lol

So does the wife's running around locally, I reckon around 28 mpg on a run though i havn't checked it this year and I've added a few bits......
