I sincerely hope not, as I'm aware people on here are very close to those involved.

but having a different size brake calliper could be a fitting mistake on any car and a worn brake pedal could be on any car especially one that does high mileage eg a salesman car.  :-k

I wont comment on the case, but the reporting issue of "was seen speeding past" estimated at 50-60mph. Now cetraily conditions allways play a factor but isnt 50-60mph within the speed limit and not "speeding" or is overtaking now a crime? Also the headline has been changed form "Incompetent Driver" although they (BBC)  put it in quotes so thats not the BBC but thats the usual tactic the tabliods use to print unproven headlines becuase they can claim they are reporting it, not saying it, however the did see fit to change it so they obviously decided they were ion the wrong or mis quoting.

Cant see how one caliper could be bigger than the other unless it was a solid disc one side and vented the other which i couldnt see somebody who knew about cars doing?

I didnt know the person affected but i do feel for him as losing 4 children is enough of a sentence without this trial, which could 'possibly' be  based on miss guided/wrong facts  :( :(

Gavin.

Hi folks.

I've taken the liberty of locking this thread for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it's out of repsect for them involved in the incident. Secondly, it's to ensure we don't start speculating on what is a court matter. Our concepts and suppositions won't affect the outcome, but they may adversely affect some of those around us.

Cheers
Eeyore
