Hay guys do any of u know if the front and rear diff flanges are the same?

well.....the rear one is attached to the half shaft
so im going to say no

If you are talking about the diff pinion flange and on a pre-life Discovery then yes.

thats assuming its not had a different axle put under it
10 vs 24spline are different flanges, and then the disco 300 rear is different again with the stupid donut being fitted onto it

As far as I know, 200Tdi diff flanges are the same front and back, 4 bolt. The 300Tdi has a 3 bolt flange as standard on the rear but this can be swapped for the 4 bolt version without too much difficulty. The front is a 4 bolt.

So, in answer to your question, yes and no :)

doing the retro fit on my 300 as im fed up with the doughnut ripping appart, got the new prop and a guy on ebay sells the flange kit, but how do i get the little stubby shaft out of the rear flange to access the Big nut???

Cheers for that link on the flange removal, thought about doing something similar, or slide hammer, but that looks the better option!

if the flange is still attached to the prop, then, im guessing the big nut has stripped the thread? oh dear! cant help on that one, sorry.
