Just make sure you stick your feet, make sure she's always got a pot of tea on standby, milk it for all it's worth mate!
I'm personally sick of the man flu, in the last 5 weeks I've had it 3 times! the third time I ended up with a chest infection on my right side...not nice when that's the same side you broke your ribs on!
-
I've got a cold, went to the supermarket to get some lemsips and one of them things you stick up your nose , came back to the disco and this old bag had a right go at me , she'd parked next to me got out and wiped her big fat @rse against my motor, which has about an inch of mud all over it :D in the end i just drove off i felt too rough to argue but i had to
-
In th last two hours my nose has gone from bone dry to a flowing stream and my left eye has gone the same, a slippery snotty slope to MAN flu
-
There's one going around south wales that is knocking people for six for over a week which is impressive for a cold. My ol'man has had it for 2 weeks without shaking it off because he's a tart. I must have had it before as I seem immune to that one.

I've not had a day off in 8 years.
Then my 1 year old started nursery and I've been off 3 times in 4 months!!

Don't I feel stupid now. Went out for a dog walk after posting this, by time I came back I was shivering to the core, not snotty but every joint in pain, especially my back and I felt like i been kicked in the nutz. Central heating screwed up in house so sat with 4 layers of hoodie and fleeze with the gas fire on full. Pretty much delirious with what felt like an outer body experience . Was shivering and cramping till misses came home at 9pm and dossed me up. First time I been comfortable all day - hope it clears by tomorrow.
-
I am well into week three of man flu. I swear it has had more comebacks than Frank Sinartra. Hot water, honey, lemon juice and whiskey have helped with regular doses of paracetamol and Ibuprofen.
-
In response to my previous post I can now confirm that man flu is definately heading my way...!!!! I can feel it in my eyes and nose already....!!!!!!!!!!
I just hope I can get rid of it before Xmas...don't want it two years in a row... :'( :'(

I'm fine; a bit of heat exhaustion; we were away last weekend and it peaked at 38 C

I have a slight head ache and stomach feels wierd but I'm putting that down to the petrol I swallowed and breathed in yesterday!
From looking at where people are who have this it seems to have started in the north and heading southwards mainly. Oh dear.
My Mum in Reading said she was cold and layered up and snuffy nose yesterday. She had better get rid of it by the time I see her at xmas. I don't want it thanks. Looks like I will be eating oranges until I turn orange as I normally do when man flu starts up. Somehow it works and I ............... No I'm not saying it and tempting fate!!!
I also heard on the radio that scientists in some lab who were bored did a test of 100 people on lemsip etc etc and 100 people on hot apple and blackcurrant squash who all had a cold and the hot squash won the tests for having the best result.
Worth a go lads?

I am taking some extra vitimins to help shift it. I'm now stuck with the worst cough ever!
-
I started taking vitamin tablets a few weks ago and the days I forget to take them I notice a difference in me. I have those A to Zinc ones. Cant remember the make. Centrium maybe?
-
I am feeling a lot better after my regime of hot water, honey, lemon and whiskey administered as needed (hic) along with paracetamol and Ibuprofen.
I will tempt fate and say that my man flu can now be downgraded to its lesser form...
woman flu

It didn't clear and today was the first day I been able to go out and about though still not 100%. Defo not man flu! Turned out to be Norovirus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norovirus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norovirus)) and mostly likely picked up when visiting someone in hospital on the Sunday 3 days before. The hospital has since closed certain wards to visitors as it spread like wildfire. Went to hospital healthy and came away with some horridness, filthy places esp The Royal Gwent
-
Norovirus can survive on worktops etc for up to 12 days so make sure you keep everything clean. Basically, if you can smell vomit or poo from someone who has norovirus then there is a pretty good chance of contracting it yourself
