With my luck with the car I'm sure I could break it

Its worth a try. How much do you think is there?
Would it cover the repairs

SWMBO said she would lend us a 7ton 360 digger from work, with breaker. If we split it with her.

Bit more info / comments ...
"There was only $500 of real currency, the rest is fake. A security guard was present for the duration of the promotion. People were told they could only use their feet and would not get to keep the money if they were successful."
"Actually, the bills on the top are real...underneath they are fake. This PR stunt/promo was done not to far from where I live. What was entertaining was the guy they filmed on the news who took a 30 ft run at it and kicked it as hard as he could. His eyes watered up and he said something like "wow, is that tough". The producer figures he had to have broken every toe on his foot."
"The PR company that staged this deserves and award. This promo got international attention."
"A great advertising gimmick, sure. But not really a good technical demonstration of the strength of the glass. All that paper in there is acting as a buffer and reducing the space vunerable to the initial blow - thereby making the glass "appear" that much more impenetrable.
Take the money out, and then do the demonstration. That'll impress me as a buyer of security windows."

Hook the thing up to the rear recovery points, with very strong rope, foot down and go! But dont stop

Never tried it on toughened safety glass then?
It'd laugh at you.
Once tried to smash a piece with a brick (a full one) from about five feet away. I had to duck!!
-
I dread to ask, but what were you doing throwing a brick at a window??? :D
-
I bought one of those hammer things (not spring-loaded, just the pointy ones) for the car, so as to be able to get out the window in an emergency. It's so tempting to try it out! I saw a wrecked Escort in the motorway services and had to be restrained...

Trying to get it into bite sized chunks to take to the tip. No, honest! Tried a spring loaded punch coz the local hooligan said it was a sure fire way. That nearly took out my eye with a tiny shard it managed to dislodge. The brick bounced back with more force than I threw it. Took a chunk out but little else. Amazing stuff.
