ive got that engine in my 127, which has an unladen weight of 21/4 tonnes, including the offroad kit, its on remold mud tyres and has a wide tipper body and it does 25mpg :) around town and on a trip to scotland carrying about 1/2 a ton did 29mpg :D at 60mph on the way up, but coming home i did 75 and got about 24mpg.
the only "perfomaqnce" mod is a set of hiclones.

i think so, fitted one on its own to start with as ran out of time, drove down the road to a tricky junction pulled out and could feel the extra pull. had the second one fitted at the same time as a big service  so dont no how much difrence fitting the 2nd one made as everything was working better, a mate has them fitted  to a 300tdi 90 along with a k and n filter and having the pair of them certainly improves perfomace

Ive herd of these hyclones what are they and how could they help please, now getting back on topic lol  I put £40 worth of disel in and it brought the gauge up to 3quater full now done 89 miles at 55-60 and used just under 1 quater dosnt seem too bad (been used to a v8 rrc on lpg) if it keeps going like this Ill be a happy bunni as long as disel stays below £100 per leter at the moment 96.9 I can live with that

Given what they cost I'd love to know where the first one was fitted.  I tried a cheap ali one that you fold yoursefl and I'm really not sure it's any better, but I'm after economy these days.

Hiclones dont work

have proven them on a dyno to cause a loss in power in the midrange due to the restriction they create
