WOW! I'd love to do something like that!
-
my mate and i were talking about having a biking holiday abroad ,and he came up with this  all for a good cause and a trip of a lifetime ...the only thing that worries me is the fund raising but 5 grands not a lot to raise ..might sell advetising space on my helmet :D

There are cheaper ways to do it.
I sat round a camp fire in Senegal with this fine bunch (http://www.scootersinthesahara.co.uk/gallery.html) on desert prepped Honda 90's
Looks like fun though and I'm only jealous of people that can ride a proper bike properly.
I stand about an even chance of pottering about on a Honda 90 without incident but would need to have emergency airlift insurance if I swung my leg over one of those and went off roading.

£5k seems a lot for less than 2 weeks away, but I guess some of that's going to charity. About 3 times that saw us take spend a year taking our 101 from the UK to Cape Town and shipping it back.

Nice one Matt, really pleased for you. If you get one of those charity pages let us know so we can make a donation otherwise you'll have to pop round for it!
-
thanks guys ,most is for charity it buys the bike and other stuff ..chris i will be having a giving page ..eventually  gonna have to tag along with some of the laning events to get some practice :D :D

Very, very envious!
Watch out for the big cats. According to a documentary I watched last night, lions have worked out that the prey of the two legged variety use these long straight flat bits of ground and are now lying in wait and picking off those who are walking or stood by broken down vehicles!
