I hate Christmas.
Working untill 9pm tonight. Back to work on sunday !!
Went to the shops to get some beer, 20million people all wandering about like lost farts.
Went to put fuel in the disco, the same 20 million people had the same idea.
Mrs wizard sent me to town to collect some stuff for the girls, the same 20 million people were there as well.
I took me 3 hours to go to town and back, a round trip of 16 miles !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We all buy presents for people we see once or twice a year, and we all send Christmas cards to people we havent seen in ages.
People are all merry christmas this and merry christmas that when any other time of the year they wouldnt give you the time of day.
BAA HUMBUG I SAY !!!!!!!

I’ll second that !
Just spent 2 complete days with the family (both ends) getting my self stuffed with to much food and listening to my brother in law trying to play the piano…… :-#
The only good thing about Christmas is that it only happens once a year and that it’s over really quickly !
Not long now before it’s 2009 and that means making plans for new play days and Land Rovers shows.
In the mean time I’ll start working on my 200 TDI engine, trying to get that running before it’s Christmas again… :)

I'm making the most of the holidays before it's back into assignments for Uni again :(
Enjoyed a quiet Christams with the family, little one a bit too small to really get it though, so I had fun opening his presents
It doesn't have to be about spending a fortune and stuffing yourself silly, just enjoy the company of those you choose to be with and spare a thought for those less fortunate than you.

100% with RRB on this one. And fully appreicate the other views too. It is difficult to avoid the chaos that builds up in even the smallest towns before the 25th. And I hate it with a passion! I'd far rather pass through the time with those I want to be with and have a little rest before going back to work.
As is was, we drove 400 miles to Scotland with a 2 month old baby and the fuss never stopped for 4 days until we drove the 400 miles back again  I understand the outlaws wanting to see little 'un, but I just wished they would leave him alone occasionally and stop fussing over him. Poor little lad didn't know what had hit him.

I enjyo the time with the kids and wife but the inlaws thats another story lol

It's easy (if you don't have kids). Just buy all the stuff online and make sure any travelling is done on the days when everybody else is indoors stuffing their faces.

That's fine until you have to visit town for ordinary day to day needs. I rarely even go into the metropolis that is Norwich these days, but even the local market town gets bonkers before Christmas!

I wish I could have a choice! I will next year!
I'm a Bah Humbug as well but love New Year!
