Seasons greetings to you all, hope you had a good one?
This problem started just before Christmas and came on quite suddenly really. After a short trip on the motorway it seemed to be pulling to the left a little and then as we slowed down to around 30mph it seemed to vibrate quite violently.
My initial suspicion was front nearside wheel bearing, as it only used to vibrate at around the 30mph, then peter off as you accelerate.
I have spent the day changing that wheel bearing and re-greasing the others. they all seemed ok and my hopes were lifted. Have just test driven and to my dismay, its still there at 30mph!!!
Does anyone out there have any suggestions, hints/tips, general advice you would like to share with me.
Many thanks, as always, any advice is greatly received.
cheers

Hi,
Check bushes/springs/shocks/steering damper for starters. Are your tyres at the correct pressure?
Cheers,

Swap the wheels front to back, it could be balance or it could be a tyre failing.
Also check the front propshaft UJs because TBH at 30 mph the wheels aren't going that fast, I'd expect a thumping rather than a vibration.

have you checked the u j on the prop m8

Hi.
Don't forget the front axle panhard rod bushes. Rod is about 1" diameter and runs above front axle left to right. I recently had a similar problem and the bush was shot, allowing the front axle to move sideways excessively.

Cheers for your replies guys!
I have found the problem, its the front prop shaft!
We now need one Very URGENTLY! Is there anyone local to Birmingham who may have one lurking around in their garage or workshop or spare disco.
cheers
