Title: Tyre fitting in Grantham
Post by: dave_2A_2.25Turbo on December 31, 2008, 14:58:59
Can anyone point me at a reasonable tyre fitting place in Grantham (so far I've been qouted £10 per wheel, which I think is taking the **** for loose wheels/tyres)

I work in the tyre trade and £10 per wheel isn't taking the **** as you put it. I have seen the state of some wheels/tyres where people have had it done cheap and the resulting damage to them has cost more than a tenner. But if you want to be really cheap you could try fitting them yourself then you wouldn't mind paying £10

This is not bad when you see the amount of lead on mine!

I paid about £12.50.

£10 a corner is about right for fitting at a centre.

Luckily a mate of mine owns me local hi-q so he never charges me for fitting!

I work for Hi-Q and £10 seems pretty resonable!

Too many years getting it done at trade, I suppose - used to paying £20 a set!

Hi Dave

Happy New Year!

Have you tried Selecta in Great Gonerby they seem pretty reasonable, though only used them for the missus's motor.

Cheers

Keith
