hello,
my timing belt snapped last week and weve been taking the front of my 90 apart in a relaxed fashion,
anyways we went to paddocks and brought all the bits advised by friends for a 200tdi engine, but we took the timing belt cover off and then check the haynes manual and now ive no idea what bits i need as ithe timing belt cover apears to look like the haynes diagram of the old 2.5 n/a engine, is this possible?
the part number on the timing belt cover its self is HRC2252
and the number on the recept from when the engine was changed is i i204099A
where as the number on the engine is 11L04099A
please can anybody tell me what i have? i can supply photo's
cheers kieran

DEFENDER 200 CAMBELT CASING LOOKS THE SAME AS THE j19 2.5 TD. The disco looks different and has different belt and bits!

Replacing a 200TDi Defender timing belt, which shows the parts needed. The two seals are not part of a 'kit' though - one is the dust seal for the timing cover and the other is the crankshaft front oil seal. The dust seal should really be replaced as a matter of course, but the crank seal if required.
