Can get my side lights on by using the flick switch under the horn/indicator switch but cannot get the head/mainbeam lights on,no horn either. Is this switch prone to going faulty is so do i remove the steering wheel to replace it,thanks Andy.
-
have you checked fuse for them as i think the main lights and horn run through the same fuse :-k
-
Must admit to only having a quick check but tomorrow is another day and it's set aside purely for the landy so will do a proper job this time as i'm planing on taking the dash apart and fitting the radio/cd player and also the ham radio in properly.
And if all goes well fitting the new alloys.

OK - Replaced blown fuse and now have the horn and flash ,still have indicators too so i'm now thinking relay or switch, anyone with any ideas please. [-o<

Its probably the feed wire to the switch from the loom plug, broken off at the attachment point on the stalk switch, BTDT soldered the begger back on.

This is starting to get really annoying now-got everything working so fitted it back together and now no indicators/horn and the switch is notchy.Went and bought a new switch but cannot get the steering wheel to move off the shaft been at it for FOUR hours and called it a day, anyone got any ideas to shift it,pleaseeeeeeeee.

you'll need a puller to get the wheel off. Made mine with a bit of plate & a few nuts & bolts after trying to knock it off from behind with hammer. It will probably pull off quite easily as it needs to be pulled squarely

Thanks mate now off to by a puller.

At last time to put this one to bed, bought the puller and got the wheel off. Replaced the light switch, horn and indicator switch and also the wash/wipe switch, and repaired the fog light switch and guess what - problems solved so it appears that it went faulty whilst i did the job. So at least i can see where i'm going now :).
