Hello all,
We have had our Defender 110 V8 CSW for nearly four years but hardly ever use it and I am wondering whether we should sell it...........but I have no idea really what it is worth.
It is a 1991 110 V8 CSW, with winch and snorkel. Recently passed it's MOT, taxed until May and runs very well. Very solid underneath and the bulkhead is excellent. We got it in 2005, and it has had very little use since then and I suppose there is only so long we can keep hold of a motor we hardly ever use :-k
So, what do you think it is worth please chap and chapess! Thanks! (PS: plate wouldn't be included, it is a H reg).

Up to £2,000.

all depends on what you expect from it, and whether someone out there WANTS a V8 110.. very weird market at the moment...also would depend on if its LPG'd i suppose.
realistically £2000 or less - but could fetch more.
Probably no help :(
-
If you decide to sell for around that figure, I might have someone interested ;) PM me..................
-
Thanks!
It's not LPGed: because we don't use it much it has never seemed worth the effort/cost.

OK, after thinking more about it, we are going to sell this fine example of Solihull's finest :D It is just not getting used. I think it has been out (locally) only twice in the last month!
I'll do the sale 'properly' in a couple of weeks (put it in the for sale section first, and possibly eBay) once I've done the number plate swap. In the meantime, if anyone wants to PM/email me, I'm all ears............

After having a good look around, we are looking for around the £2,500 mark.........

PS: we are in Cumbria, not far from Penrith. There's a main line station at Penrith.........

Oh if I had the money to buy it :-k

Up to £2,000.
From the look of the bodywork I reckon double that as a starting point.

Really? £4,000? The doors have the usual problems, and the body has had some off-road knocks, but all in all, it is very solid.

I've taken some extra photos today, which are here. (http://www.zzmail.co.uk/landrover/)
Solid all round, great bulkhead, 100% reliable............but how much is it worth! Arrgghh! I hate selling motors!

I see, it looks a bit more unloved in these photos. If you look on ebay/autotrader you will see good examples from that age at around £4k, really rough about £1k.
If you can be bothered to replace the wing, get some better doors, tyres and give it a really good clean and polish (possibly a coat of paint in some areas) you could be getting £3.5k with a fair wind and 12 month mot.
In its current condition ask about £1700 and expect £1400 selling the winch and bumper separately.
-
OK, thanks.
The doors arn't that bad [-X (and certainly haven't gotten any worse in the last four years). I like the dent on the wing! Easy to knock out, if required.
Thanks anyway.

I would say start at £3k and go no less than £2.5k :D she is a nice truck and a shame i don't have the cash :D.

I have now listed it on eBay, and also in the 'auction' section of this forum.
Thanks to everyone for all their help!
