Hi all,
was in the proccess of changing my UJs yesterday when i noticed play in the rear diff flange :? (1-2mm)( up, down, left right. not just the norm rotary play). thought it could be the crown nut but thats all good. on further inspection the whole assemblys wobbling, nut stud flange etc, also seems to be a fair bit of oil coating the casing. think the diffs just a standard 2.5td/200 one
any ideas :-k
Cheers

The diff nose bearing has failed which in turn has taken out the oil seal which is why it is leaking. It is possible to change the bearing but it's not that easy and there may be further damage inside the diff. Your best bet is just to buy a good second hand diff and fit that, you'll be able to pick one up for about £50 maybe a bit less.
Hope that helps.

Yep it will, just so long as it is a 90 we're talking about... they arent inter-changeable on a 110.
Good luck
